Nos hace un resumen la compa\u00f1era Carmen Buis\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9ramos 38 personas que fuimos a Malta, del 10 al 14 de octubre. Son 5 islas y visitamos las dos m\u00e1s grandes: <strong>Malta<\/strong> y <strong>Gozo<\/strong>. Conocida como \u201cla perla del Mediterr\u00e1neo\u201d, y pese a su reducido tama\u00f1o, Malta fue conquistada y ocupada a lo largo de los a\u00f1os por grandes potencias mar\u00edtimas de la historia, dada su posici\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica en el Mediterr\u00e1neo y a su excepcional puerto natural. Hasta su independencia, en 1964, dejaron su huella fenicios, cartagineses, romanos, \u00e1rabes, normandos, catalano-aragoneses, la Orden de los Caballeros de San Juan, franceses y el imperio Brit\u00e1nico.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta riqueza hist\u00f3rica estuvo presente a lo largo del viaje visitando <strong>La Valletta<\/strong>, magn\u00edfica capital, las ciudades de <strong>Vittoriosa<\/strong>, <strong>Cospicua<\/strong> y <strong>Senglea<\/strong>, donde los Caballeros de Malta se asentaron por primera vez en 1530, <strong>Medina<\/strong> que es la poblaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s aristocr\u00e1tica de la isla, y <strong>Rabat<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n la catedral de <strong>Mosta<\/strong>, el Palacio Parisio de <strong>Naxxar<\/strong>, el pueblo marinero de <strong>Marsaxlokk<\/strong> y los acantilados de <strong>Dingli<\/strong>. A destacar las visitas a los <strong>Templos<\/strong> <strong>Megal\u00edticos de Ggantija<\/strong> (Gozo) y de <strong>Hagar Qim<\/strong> (Malta). El mar siempre estaba presente y lo disfrutamos desde tierra y en barco para desplazarnos a <strong>Gozo<\/strong> y haciendo una larga traves\u00eda por el gran puerto de <strong>La Valletta<\/strong>.
